ClickPoint Software started in 2005, when company founder Gabriel Buck noticed major inefficiencies in systems that managed and distributed leads. Gabriel hired current CTO Michael Sawyer after recognizing his talent for creating powerful yet easy to use software. The two set out to be a leader in the lead management space and to make a name for their Lead Distribution System, LeadExec.

“We first started with LeadExec which was built to help companies distribute leads based on flexible delivery rules. There just wasn’t anything on the market in 2005 that had automated lead distribution. We knew that we needed to create a system that would be very flexible and customizable so that companies could create any lead type on the fly. We wanted a system that would integrate with legacy systems and help our corporate clients achieve their most difficult lead distribution requests.

In 2005 there weren’t any companies taking lead distribution, lead automation, and making them work together, to enhance efficiency. Our company noticed the need and firmly believed we could be an innovator and leader in this emerging software market. Working with both buyers and sellers of leads has given us the perspective to understand what our clients really want. We know how marketing companies want their leads distributed and we know how lead buyers want to receive and distribute their leads. Working with both sets of customers has really helped us create solutions that ultimately benefit the supply and demand sides of the business.

Along the way we discovered that many sales organizations buying leads were complaining of the very same pain points again and again.     Lead management describes systems that have been created to aid sales organizations in maximizing their performance with leads. Most lead management systems will use a combination of delivery settings to ensure that leads are responded to as quickly as possible while being delivered to the best sales agents in the company. Lead management systems typically will also have methods for increasing the percentage of contacted vs. non-contacted leads. Some of these methods include dialing functionality, automated e-mail, lead validation, and advanced filtering capabilities.

    What is a Lead Distribution?

    Lead distribution refers to advanced software systems that use a variety of methods to deliver leads to a specific location. In LeadExec there are many ways to deliver leads. Lead distribution typically refers to delivering leads in an automated way so that once settings are in place leads can be sent automatically. Lead distribution also has several components like the method that leads are delivered to their final destination. Typical methods for lead delivery include http post, get, ping post, ftp upload, soap post, e-mail with .csv attachment, e-mail with info in the body, and e-mail with an embedded link. Leads can also be delivered using a real-time or time delayed setting.
