ClickPoint Software started in 2005, when company founder Gabriel Buck noticed major inefficiencies in systems that managed and distributed leads. Gabriel hired current CTO Michael Sawyer after recognizing his talent for creating powerful yet easy to use software. The two set out to be a leader in the lead management space and to make a name for their Lead Distribution System, LeadExec.
“We first started with LeadExec which was built to help companies distribute leads based on flexible delivery rules. There just wasn’t anything on the market in 2005 that had automated lead distribution. We knew that we needed to create a system that would be very flexible and customizable so that companies could create any lead type on the fly. We wanted a system that would integrate with legacy systems and help our corporate clients achieve their most difficult lead distribution requests.
In 2005 there weren’t any companies taking lead distribution, lead automation, and making them work together, to enhance efficiency. Our company noticed the need and firmly believed we could be an innovator and leader in this emerging software market. Working with both buyers and sellers of leads has given us the perspective to understand what our clients really want. We know how marketing companies want their leads distributed and we know how lead buyers want to receive and distribute their leads. Working with both sets of customers has really helped us create solutions that ultimately benefit the supply and demand sides of the business.
Along the way we discovered that many sales organizations buying leads were complaining of the very same pain points again and again.
