ClickPoint REST API: Official Release for ClickPoint Lead Management

Written by ClickPoint Software | December 20, 2016

Representational state transfer (REST) or RESTful web services are one way of providing interoperability between computer systems. REST-compliant web services allow requesting systems to access and manipulate textual representations of web resources using a uniform and predefined set of stateless operations. Other forms of web service exist, which expose their own arbitrary sets of operations such as WSDL and SOAP.

ClickPoint Software has officially released a REST API to extend developer tools that enable easy integration and customization with their lead management solutions. ClickPoint clients rely on real-time updates of lead data and the need for a new REST API was critical for our entire community of users. ClickPoint developed the API to allow developers to gain access to their lead data, user data, and integrations, that enable best of breed software solutions to talk to one another.

The REST API allows the ClickPoint developer community to integrate with ClickPoint in ways they never have been able to before. The API will allow ClickPoint customers to do the following:
• Update lead information in real-time by pulling lead data or appending lead data
• Update user information and credentials
• Search for lead data and retrieve specific actionable information about leads, including history, status, appointments, and notes
• Export critical DNC and Opt-Out information to ensure compliance lists are unified from multiple applications
